Poprad - Tatry Airport

Poprad-Tatry International Airport is the highest located international airport in Europe. Its altitude is 718 meters above sea level. The airport is situated 5 km from the city of Poprad-Tatry.

The airport is functional all year round and can handle short to medium-length flights with a capacity of cca. 200 passengers. Thanks to its geographical settings the airport has good weather conditions - often above the mist level. It is thus used as a substitute airport in case of infavourable conditions.  

The airport currently processes about 25000 passengers yearly. This number is increasing in the last years. Terminal capacity is 300 passengers per hour (150 arrival, 150 departure). The airport handles presently only charter flights, but starting from 3rd December 2005 there will be also regular flights London-Poprad-Tatry available.
